Rio de Janeiro, the 'Marvellous City' as its inhabitants, the Cariocas , call it, is indeed one of

The Tinharé archipelago, a short plane ride or boat trip from Salvador, is the coral reef home
of rich marine fauna and flora, and has stunning mangroves and river labyrinths as well. The 
main island is Morro de Sao Paulo  is renowned for its scubadiving and vibrant nightlife. In
the south you will find the smaller and wilder island of Boipeba where visitors seeking
tranquillity can circle the island walking its silver sands and swimming, horseriding or explore 
the coral reefs. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the islands.
