The Atlantic Rainforest once covered the Brazilian coastline. Today, even if it has been
reduced to 8% of its original extension, itis still one of the richest forest on earth in
terms of biodiversity, with more than 25.000 species of tropical fauna and flora. As much
as 458 different tree species have been identified in a single hectar of Janaina Natural
Reserve, atteaching the world record of tree biodiversity per hectar.

Janaina Nature Reserve is part of FirstFlora´s environmental project dedicated to the
